MIVentureNews.com is an effort to aggregate news and information on Michigan area ventures, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and investors. While there is no dearth of knowledge and capital in this part of the country, emerging / technology sectors are bagging behind the coasts.
The objective of this effort is to bring the business community, especially the entrepreneurs and venture investors, together to share the knowledge and resources and energize this region. Hence this is a collective effort by all concerned and a complementary initiative.
The finer of goals of this initiative are:

- Highlight and publicize the ongoing efforts through various private / public / non-profit organizations
- Update the industry trends and developments via blogs and online forums
- Simulating job growth by retaining college graduates and technology professionals in this region by providing opportunities
- Kick starting the multiplier effect by small technology oriented businesses with minimal investments
- Aggregate resources on business incubators / accelerators, boot camps, etc.
